Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route
What is the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route?
It is one of the world's leading mountain tourist routes, running through the Northern Alps, where peaks reach heights of 3,000 meters.
The total distance is 37.2 km, with a maximum elevation difference of 1,975 m. The entire route is located within Chubu Sangaku National Park.
Transferring between Tateyama Station in Tateyama Town on the Toyama side and Ogizawa Station in Omachi City on the Nagano side, you will pass through many scenic spots.
You can easily enjoy the vast nature of Tateyama Kurobe, which spreads out above the clouds.
It's also a good place to spot ptarmigan.

Book your tickets early
Tickets sell out quickly during Golden Week, Obon Holiday, and other long holidays. You can purchase tickets on the day of your trip, but you can also purchase standard web tickets approximately one month in advance.
The "Standard Web Ticket" is a very convenient ticket that allows you to reserve a ticket departing from Tateyama Station and easily collect it at an automated ticket machine.
